Another Successful Season

Thank you all for joining us for our 2012 Season. Here's a look back at our performance line-up:

Around the Musical World in 80 Minutes

Community Performing Arts has commissioned world famous violinist, Yi-Jia Susanne Hou, to produce and perform in this world premier engagement. Audiences will enjoy a whirlwind of musical exploration as the musicians and dancers guide their journey around the world, featuring some of the greatest works of Mozart, Brahms, Verdi, and Puccini, to name but a few. Soprano and tenor soloists, internationally renowned pianist, taiko drummers, tango dancers, cello, harp, violins and guitar await.

Conrad Tao and Jonah Kim w/ Orchestra

Two virtuosos are brought together for a fabulous engagement to be long remembered. A full symphony orchestra will accompany Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2 (Conrad Tao) and Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto(Jonah Kim). You will be dazzled by the polished technique of these two amazing prodigies.

Vienna-Budapest-Paris AN OPERETTA EXTRAVAGANZA

This production draws from the magic of Vienna’s beloved New Year’s Day tradition — a spectacular celebration of music and dance. Attila Glatz, producer of A Salute to Vienna, has assembled a brilliant cast of over 50 musicians, singers, and dancers in a splendid program, featuring some of the best arias fromDie FledermausThe Merry Widow, and The Csardas Princess.

Dallas Brass featuring piano soloist

DANCING with the STARS' LOUIS VAN AMSTEL'S Ballroom with a Twist

Dancing with the Stars choreographer, Louis van Amstel, pushes the boundaries of ballroom, capturing the energy of the hottest dance styles. An evening of breathtaking performances, magnificent music, and stunning costumes featuring stars from American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.
